Sometimes, you're not doing anything really important, like reading a book, cleaning, or doing dishes, but you look up and something you've looked at before countless times just stands out in a way you've never noticed before.
That's what inspired this pic.

@Lia: Thanks for the comment, Lia! It took many, many, many, many tries to get this one that I was satified with. I used an 18-55mm lens, I think my ISO was set at 1600...you need to used a high ISO to capture motion like this. I think I also had the flash firing as well. It just takes a little patience and keep trying at it...you'll get the shot you like. Good luck! :-)
wow, excellent shot! I have always wanted to try water drop shots, I just may do that this weekend!

@Eric: Thanks Eric! It took a while to do it, but it was fun and worth! Good luck! =-)
Phenomenal capture. The drip is like a chain of beads. I am always fascinated by drip/drop shots. I have yet to focus on capturing one. Yours certainly gives me the inspiration to do so. Excellent.

@Naren: Thanks Naren! These kind of shots are painstaking to capture, but it's fun! Thanks for the comment! =-)
Hmm..they look like a string of beads..i like the reflection in the last drop. the drop itself looks like a tiny mirror to me..

Wow, that's superb. Like you say, something normal but it can really be made to stand out.
I'm new to aminus3 but is there a way to "favourite" photos like this from other peoples blogs, like on flickr? Thanks.
